Improving houshold food security is an issue of supreme importance to many millions of people worldwide who are suffering from persistent hunger and undernutrition, and to others who are at risk of doing so in the future, including coming generations. Food securityis a widely debated and much-confused issue. the objective of this report is to clarify the issue and thereby contribute to rationalizing the debate over appropriate food security policies.
