Descripción
This Toolkit introduces a number of specific policy strategies and tools to respond to the major challenges and opportunities faced by agrifood chains in the Pacific Islands. It provides suggested models of: (a) pricing policies, combined with targeted measures to reduce incentives to consume the food items that contribute to poor nutrition outcomes; to (b) targeted food supply measures to improve access to healthier substitute food items among at-risk population groups (e.g. school children); t o (c) measures to facilitate increased investment in productivity to enhance technologies; and to (d) methods to improve the development and coordination of multisector interventions among food sector stakeholders.
