Resumen
Descripción
In the past, the municipality of Mapiripán was affected by an unstable and turbulent social context, with limited territorial communication, which created a climate of distrust and a lack of protection with regard to state institutions. Once illicit crops were no longer profitable, the population focused on subsistence but faced situations of food insecurity and low access to short commercialization circuits. To address the impact of institutional instability and the limited government offer in key areas such as food security and rural development, the project proposed infrastructure improvements, increased institutional capacities in food and nutrition security (FNS), land tenure and rural economic development, and focused on promoting producer associativity as well as improving the skills of the rural and indigenous population by introducing agroecological capabilities to improve their productive systems and ensure socioeconomic and cultural integration in the municipality of Mapiripán.
