Resumen

Descripción

The case study highlights how the Kingdom of Thailand's One Tambon One Product (OTOP) build on the learning from 2001 OTOP programme. The learning was adopted to design programme by strengthening targeted support to the local population, to build entrepreneurial skills and effective marketing tools at the district level and the establishment of local facilities accessible to the local people, to provide hands-on support. The government reinforced support measures in the 2010s, resulting in increased sales value per OTOP product and income growth for rural producers. Despite this, rural communities struggled to take full advantage of local produce and resources.
