| dc.description | La batata es una planta angiosperma dicotiledónea perenne, perteneciente a la familia Convolvulaceae, género Ipomoea, especie I. batatas (tabla 1.1), también conocida como sweet potato, patata dulce, camote, boniato, moniato, caiapo, kumara o kumera, que es la especie más representativa del género, ya que es la única capaz de producir raíces tuberosas comestibles (Cartabiano-Leite et al., 2020; Escobar-Puentes et al., 2022; Rosero et al., 2022). | |
