Because of the overall importance of wheat in human nutrition throughout the world, the present publication was prepared to summarize the data of wheat production on global, regional and country basis and to examine the factors affecting the production and hectare yields with special reference to use of fertilizers and the response of wheat to fertilizers. Finally, this soils bulletin also concentrate on the possibilities of improvement of wheat production in the future.
