Resumen
Descripción
This document highlights the critical role of education in mainstreaming agrobiodiversity as a foundation for sustainable, resilient, and inclusive food systems. It argues that integrating agrobiodiversity concepts into formal and non-formal education is essential to address biodiversity loss, climate change, and malnutrition. By promoting interdisciplinary curricula, food literacy, and the integration of indigenous and local knowledge, education can shape future farmers, consumers, researchers, and policymakers who value and sustainably use crop diversity. The report provides strategic guidance and illustrative examples to support curriculum development, capacity building, and partnerships, positioning education as a long-term lever for systems transformation aligned with CGIAR’s biodiversity and food systems agendas.
