Resumen

Descripción

This project aims to produce ethanol of high quality from cassava crumb for its use in reformers that produce hydrogen for fuel cells. The production of hydrogen from ethanol of cassava comes to guarantee the use of the hydrogen in the near years, as soon as 90 % of which it is produced results from the reform of the natural gas. For the development of this project several partnerships were established. The crumb was available from the Indemil company, in Paraná. Characterisation and bio-transformation of the residue are being carried out in the Embrapa Food Technology. The distilled and pervaporated ethanol will be analysed for the contaminants presence, and applied in to the fuel cells at National Institute of technology.
