Descripción
Food loss and waste is a serious problem, taking place in a global and regional context in which millions of people suffer from hunger and malnutrition.
This situation is aggravated by the challenges that climate change brings to agri-food systems and, more recently, by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to raise awareness of this problem and motivate political action on the matter, this note is intended as a guide for States when developing legal measures to contribute to Food Security and to the Right to Adequate Food.
