The publication will discuss the classification of pulses, and their advantages over other crops, their use in agriculture; as well as their health and nutritional value; present the history of the production of pulses in Russia, focusing on peas, chickpeas, beans, lentils and lupin; analyse Russia's international trade in pulses (import and export of pulses from the country); it will reflect on pulses as a source of healthy diet (including pulses in Russian cuisine, including a number of old and contemporary Russian recipes).
