| dc.description | The Government of Lao People’s Democratic Republic has recognized the significance of agriculture as a driver for national development while also acknowledging obstacles and challenges that exist in the sector In mid 2019 the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry ( established a high level taskforce with a mandate to review and revise the Agriculture Development Strategy ( to 2025 and Vision 2030 and related policies, programmes and projects, and to bring them in line with directorial changes envisaged by the government This project was designed to support the revision of the ADS and the formulation of an accompanying Monitoring and Evaluation (M& Framework for it, as well as an Agricultural Development Plan ( for 2021 2025 and to build the capacities of the DOPLA and Department of Planning and Finance ( Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Offices ( and District Agriculture and Forestry Offices ( on policy and strategy formulation procedures and protocols. | |
