dc.descriptionThe twelfth session of the Regional Commission for Fisheries (RECOFI) was held from 27 to 29 November 2023 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Commission reviewed the progress on the activities on the period 2022-2023 by its subsidiary bodies, the participation of the RECOFI Secretary in international meetings, and its finance and administrative reports. The Commission reviewed the work of the Working Group on Fisheries Management and the Working Group on Aquaculture, as well as the status of it's three binding Recommendations. Further the Commission noted developing partnerships with relevant organizations in the region. The Commission noted the importance of keeping up to date on emerging issues in fisheries and aquaculture. The Commission adopted a programme of work for the upcoming biennium.
