| dc.description | The Blue Production platform offers a holistic and cross-cutting approach to the sustainable use and management of global aquatic resources. These resources, on which we depend for food, livelihoods and decent work, are increasingly under threat of overexploitation due to the demands of a growing world population and inadequate or ineffective management. This initiative aims to help fisheries and aquaculture enterprises to increase profitability and cut carbon emissions. It aims to promote income-generating and decent employment opportunities along the fisheries and aquaculture value chains, especially for women and youth, and to foster financial and technical innovation by improving national and local implementation, policies, guidelines and tools. | |
