Descripción
The following document constitutes the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for Uganda’s REDD+ Results-based Payments funding proposal regarding emissions reductions resulting from the implementation of REDD+ results-based actions from deforestation in the period 2016-2017. Prepared by the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE), as Uganda’s REDD+ Focal Point, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), acting as both an accredited entity (AE) and executing entity (EE), this ESMF provides a comprehensive environmental, social and governance management framework applicable to all project activities, ensuring the on-going identification, assessment and management of risks and priorities associated to activities to be funded by GCF RBP proceeds.
