dc.description	This volume of the Yearbook of fishery statistics presents for recent years ending in 1997, world annual production and international trade of fishery commodities. Apparent consumption of fish and fishery products, relating to the average 1994-96, and the value at first sale of landed catches by groups of species are also provided. Commodity tables present together the most recent 3 years of volume of production, volume and value of imports and exports for the world by major exporting countries for 117 selected fishery commodities and aggregates. The list is based on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS).
