In July 2021, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) launched its Strategy for the four-year period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2025, with the overarching goal of ensuring the continued delivery of its core mandate—investigation, internal audit, and advisory services—in an efficient and effective manner. The Strategy defined as its key objective for OIG to be a credible, trusted and respected partner and service provider, through oversight, insight and foresight, in safeguarding FAO’s resources and reputation, improving its efficiency and effectiveness, and embracing positive change, in order to contribute to the Organization’s efforts to achieve the Four Betters.
