This report summarizes the activities and accomplishments in Cotton Economics Research during 1999/00, which is conducted within the Cotton Economics Research Institute at Texas Tech University. Many of the accomplishments summarized in this report would not have been possible without the financial support from the Texas Legislature through Texas Tech University and the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Further, the able guidance of the Cotton Economics Research Advisory Committee continues to be a strong asset for our research program. The Committee represents industry segments as well as academic and government, and the members assist with keeping the program focused on issues relevant to the cotton industry and in the management of the program.
