Bacterial spot caused by X. euvesicatoria pv. perforans in Brazil shows copper resistance via the copA gene. The study identified resistance in 28.8% of isolates and reported, for the first time, a hormetic effect (low-dose stimulation), as well as increased biofilm under copper stress.
