This aims to evaluate the production capability of agriculture in provincial cities and their suburbs. Researches have been carried out with the use of i.e. factor analysis method. Analyses show that the production capability of agriculture in urban and suburban communes is slightly lower than in rural communes on average. Polarization of production capability of urban (and suburban) agriculture, which is evident in the simultaneous share of intensive and extensive farming, has been noticed.
