Descripción
The United Nations General Assembly has designated 11 December “International Mountain Day” (IMD). FAO is the coordinating agency for the preparation and animation of this celebration (IMD) and is mandated to lead observance of it at the global level every 11 December. The infographic spells out the main facts regarding mountain peoples and environments, in particular, mountain biodiversity facts and figures, as well as main recommendations.
