dc.descriptionAn eight-sector, single-period, agricultural-focused computable general equilibrium (CGE) model of Malaysia using 1983 as the base year was developed to evaluate effects from changes in the external trade environment and domestic economic policies. The simulation results demonstrate the growing resiliency of the increasingly diversified Malaysian economy to external shocks. Also, they point to the domestic economy's ability to buffer internal policy-induced distortions.
