The evaluation study of extension services in Panama is approached, from the point of view of the extension teaching staff of the IICA graduate school. As final result, additional knowledge is presented on the structures and functions of rural development programs; application of convenient evaluation research methods and procedures to be developed in the country; based on needs, training experiences are planned for people in the skills and techniques of analysis, evaluation and planning of rural development programs.
