The Refugee and host community roadmap is a strategic document that outlines FAO's response strategy for supporting refugees and host communities in Uganda. Built on a three-pillar approach of livelihood stabilization, soico-economic empowerment, and creating an enabling environment, the document is the outcome of a collaborative FAO effort that included missions from headquarter and sub-regional officers as well as the support of the Resilience team for Eastern Africa, FAO Uganda staff, and key partners, including the Government of Uganda, DANIDA, the Embassy of Japan, USAID, UNDP, UNHCR, and WFP. The document is expected to serve both as a reference for guiding project formulation and implementation as well as a resource moblization tool. Additionally, the strategy could be used for wider awareness raising about FAO's contribution to refugee and host community response among national and international partners and other UN agencies.
