| dc.description | The objectives of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture are the conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising out of their use, in harmony with the Convention on Biological Diversity, for sustainable agriculture and food security. In achieving those objectives funding is a critical element and Article 18.1 of the Treaty already states that the “Contracting Parties undertake to implement a funding strategy for the implementation of this Treaty”. | |
