| dc.description | El presente artículo esboza la evolución de una materia, la economía agraria, que en muchos momentos ha tenido una especificidad respecto del tronco general de la economía. Pese a estar en el nacimiento de la economía como ciencia, durante el siglo XIX la economía agraria se desarrolló de forma autónoma, en parte por el origen de sus practicantes, en parte por las materias que abordaba, e incluso, en algunos momentos, y según algunos autores, por la distinta metodología que empleaba. Desde sus comienzos ilustrados, de la mano de los fisiócratas, hasta su inclusión en el tronco global de la economía, ya en la segunda mitad del siglo XX, esta evolución ha reflejado los impulsos que diversos autores, desde agrónomos a economistas, le han dado en un camino que finalmente ha llevado a la situación actual, como rama aplicada de una ciencia más general, la economía......The present article traces the development of agrarian economics, a discipline which at many points in its history has been considered as an autonomous entity, outside mainstream economics. Agrarian economics was the origin of economics as a science, but during the nineteenth century it evolved independently, due to the origin of its practitioners, its objects of study, and, in the eyes of some authors, its methodology. From the time of its conception by the Physiocrats during the Enlightenment until its consolidation in the mainstream of economics as late as the second half of the twentieth century, the development of agrarian economics has reflected the efforts of a variety of authors, from agronomists to economists, to establish the discipline: a process that has led it towards the position it holds today, as an applied branch of the more general science of economics. | |
