The eleventh fact sheet in the <I>Save and Grow</I> series presents the key points in climate change adaptation. The strategy suggests shifting from rice to maize during the dry season to save groundwater, cutting fertilizer applications by using poultry manure, growing legumes to reduce nitrate pollution of aquifers and establishing rice and maize on untilled permanent beds produces higher yields, which uses 38 percent less water.
