This policy brief discusses the crucial role of agricultural extension and advisory service professional associations in supporting the national extension and advisory services within the agricultural innovation systems. It highlights the contributions to capacity development, policy support, and improving service delivery, while identifying challenges such as limited funding and organizational capacity, and recommending government and development partners support strengthening these associations for enhanced national agricultural development.
