The document is based on activities as survey of phytosanitary problems on apple production in selected orchards; inspection of postharvest, treatments and procedures for apples intented to be exported to European markets; analysis of registed pesticides with respect to final residues and feasibility of use for European markets; survey of field pre-harvest control programs for Anastrepha fruit flies and other insects of quarantine importance to the United States; the European red mite problem in apple orchards; and San Jose scale and other related insects with respect to European Quarantine restrictions.
