The FAO Regional Proposal Development Workshop "Assistance to Western Balkan Countries for Improving Compliance with International Standards for Aquatic Animal Health" was convened by FAO as part of the implementation of the FAO/TCP/RER/3206. This regional workshop was used to explore the possibilities for a regional cooperation and development proposal to address common problems related to pathogen issues affecting regional trade between Western Balkan countries. The workshop received active participation and strong interest and support in the development of the regional proposal. The development followed a systematic, logical and transparent process and resulted to strong consensus on the scope and elements of the regional proposal through regional cooperation.
