| dc.description | Agroforestry supports food and nutritional security through the direct provision of food, by raising farmers’ incomes and providing fuel for cooking, and through various ecosystem services. Agroforestry is an important climate-smart agriculture approach. Challenges for agroforestry in supporting food and nutritional security include policy and market constraints and underinvestment in research, but opportunities exist to promote a multifunctional agricultural approach. | |
