dc.descriptionThis project fact sheet summarizes the key aspects of this project (Time-critical emergency agriculture inputs assistance to marginal and food insecure farming households to mitigate impacts of COVID-19 and ongoing food crisis), objective, budget, geographical scope, people assisted, assistance modalities, crosscutting issues and SDGs contribution. The key objective of this project is to protect the agricuture-based livelihoods of the most vulnerable marginal farming households from the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 shock and the worsening of the existing food crisis. This time-critical and season-sensitive assistance is provided in 15 provinces in the form of quality agriculture inputs, such as certified wheat seeds and fertilizers, accompanied by technical training on optimized cultivation techniques, climate-smart agriculture and natural pest management, as well as sensitization and awareness building on COVID-19 safety measures to be adopted throughout farm level practices and in local market participation.
