The wetlands issue, in a three country portion of the prairie pothole region, as it relates to land-use decisions involving cropland and wetland habitat is discussed. An input-output framework is employed to assess the economic impacts of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wetland
acquisition on rural economies.
