| dc.description | The emergence of mites as vectors of plant viruses has serious implications and economic importance for the movement and spread of plant viruses such as citrus leprosis virus. This virus is the causal agent of citrus leprosis disease, a disease that has resulted in serious economic losses due primarily to issues of early detection and high production costs incurred to manage the mite vector. The importance of this disease and emergency management are discussed below. | |
