| dc.description | The Global AgriInno Challenge, co-organized by FAO and Zhejiang University, is an annual open-innovation sprint that scouts, trains and funds youth-led solutions for sustainable agrifood systems. Each edition kicks off with a world-wide call, narrows hundreds of submissions to 8–12 finalist teams, then plunges them into a 36-hour Innovation for Good training session with mentors, investors and FAO data sets. Finalists pitch live for seed grants, a seat at the FAO Science & Innovation Forum, and fast-track entry into the Digital Agriculture Bootcamp. Past themes ranged from AI for inclusion (2024) to climate-smart supply chains (2025); 44 teams have already secured financing and pilot slots across 97 countries, turning the challenge into a proven launch-pad for women- and youth-powered ag-tech ventures. | |
