Since the establishment of the FAO Country Representation Office in Egypt in 1978, the Organization has worked in partnership with national institutions to support agricultural and rural development across the country. Over the decades, FAO’s cooperation with Egypt has been guided by three core principles: a strong commitment to capacity development; active mobilization of resources to complement national efforts; and an inclusive, people-centred approach to programme implementation. In 2016, FAO Egypt published the first edition of the booklet “FAO achievements in Egypt,” documenting all projects implemented from 1978 to 2016. Building on that foundation, this booklet presents all Technical Cooperation Programme projects and donor-funded initiatives undertaken from 2017 through the end of 2025.
