The Rural Livelihoods Information System (RuLIS) is a set of harmonized household- and individual-level data and indicators on different aspects of livelihoods, including crops and livestock production, off-farm and non-farm income generating activities, households’ composition and demographics, agricultural inputs, technology use, access to social protection, time use, shocks and migration. RuLIS currently includes information from 46 countries, with increasing data coverage in time and space as more micro-data becomes available.This brief presents the findings of selected indicators from RuLIS referring to Mexico’s National Survey of Household Incomes and Expenditures for the years 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022 conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI).Key statistics on agricultural income and production, crop, and livestock production, together with some population’s demographic characteristics including indicators on living standards and employment are presented.
