dc.descriptionJute is an important cash crop in Bangladesh but its per acre yield is low because traditional variety and related technologies are used. An intensive jute cultivation programme is in operation for some year for modernizing jute cultivation through organizing jute growers' associations. This paper assesses the performance of some selected jute growers' associations including the beae6q accrued to the member-farmers due to the formation of the societies.
