| dc.description | As requested by Members, FAO is engaged in mainstreaming the Guidelines for Sustainable Aquaculture (GSA) into global, regional and national policies and strategic frameworks in close collaboration with both Members and key stakeholders.A key component of this initiative is the organization of Regional Promotion Workshops, which aim to increase the awareness of the GSA by encouraging engagement of national authorities to action on a plan for GSA implementation, sharing stories and experiences of good aquaculture practices, welcoming all value chain stakeholders in responsible and sustainable aquaculture sector development, and contributing to food, nutrition, livelihood and social development. | |
