The One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) is an initiative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) that supports countries in promoting Special Agricultural Products by strengthening the entire value chain, from production to marketing. These strategic products have unique characteristics linked to local geography and cultural heritage, with strong potential for regional and international markets. This poster presents the OCOP initiative in Chad, which has selected meat as its special agricultural product. It highlights the socio-economic and cultural importance of meat, its potential to support more sustainable agrifood systems and rural livelihoods, and ongoing efforts to strengthen the value chain with technical support from FAO.
