A brief account is given of the crustacean resources of the countries serviced by the Southwest Indian Ocean Project, providing biomass and potential yield estimates and indications of the present state of exploitation. Shrimp, lobster and crab resources of the following countries are considered: Mozambique, Madagascar, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia and the Islands and Banks in the region
