The Pre-Investment Survey of Fishing Harbours is being conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in cooperation with the Government of India. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, on this Project, is acting as the Executing and Participating Agency for the United Nations Development Programme.</p> A reconnaissance of sites in Orissa was undertaken by Project staff during the period 18th May to 28th May, 1970. The sites examined during this re connaissance were Sonapur, Gopalpur, Chandnipal (Dhamra River Estuary), Adhuan, Chandipur and Kirtania (Ref.Drg.No. 54).
