dc.descriptionEX-Ante Carbon-balance Tool (EX-ACT) is an Excel-based model from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It is based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) methodology (including the 2013 wetland supplement) and other peer-reviewed literature on GHG emissions in the fishery sector. Objectives of the blue carbon and fisheries modules: – Identify the climate mitigation impact of various investments projects and policies on management in coastal wetlands, fisheries and coastal-wetlands based aquaculture. – Support countries in accessing funds from international financial institutions and international mechanisms to support projects, programmes and policies.
