This case study estimates the GHG impacts from the implementation of an agricultural development project supported by USAID in Honduras. This case study identifies the magnitude of a larger set of GHG impacts and compares GHG impact strength of different field activities and cropping systems. As such, the assessment results are instrumental for informing investment and policy planners in Honduras when designing low emissions development strategies in agriculture. ACCESO showed potential for gree nhouse gas emission mitigation, driven by perennial crop expansion (–144,425 tCO2e/yr) and soil management (–7,762 tCO2e/yr). The increased use of fertilizers (11,389 tCO2e/yr) is a moderate driver of GHG emissions.
