FAO ECTAD Viet Nam and the Viet Nam Department of Livestock Production (DLP) developed a set of biosecurity guidelines for small and medium scale poultry parent flock farms and hatcheries. These guidelines were tested in 12 pilot farms in Quang Tri and Can Tho Provinces in Viet Nam during a previous USAID-funded project. Farmers were able to witness an impressive change in their businesses and working environment while protecting their flocks against diseases including Avian Influenza.
