Descripción
Evidence shows that the financial resources and knowledge of diaspora communities can promote development in their countries of origin. To date, diaspora engagement in agricultural and rural development has been limited due to the myriad challenges of investing in rural areas. FAO’s initiative aims to create income-generating opportunities for rural youth by tapping into the potential of the diaspora, through investment, mentorship and the sharing of knowledge and technologies.
