dc.description“Support to Employment Creation in Mongolia” ( SECiM ) was implemented between February 2016 and June 2021. Its aim was to contribute to inclusive and sustainable development in Mongolia by promoting quality employment. SECiM had two components. The current project implemented Component 2, designed to create private sector employment in the livestock and vegetable sector value chains (VCs). FAO was responsible for activities to support employment and income opportunities in VCs for meat and meat products, milk and dairy products, and vegetables. In February 2018, UNIDO became responsible for the implementation of activities in the textile and leather VCs, and for the provision of technical inputs on large scale dairy plants and meat processing plants.
