Reports results of a seven-year field trial and a three year slaughterhouse study on reproductive performance of domestic ruminants in the Niono area of Central Mali. Examines age at first parturition, parturition interval, litter size, seasonality, life-time production of young, embryo migration and early embryonic mortality, abortions & stillbirths, early mortality, age at puberty & parturition intervals, and slaughter of pregnant females.
