dc.descriptionThe project “Groundwater Governance: A Global Framework for Action GCP/GLO/277/ GFF” emanated from a request by the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel (STAP) of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) due to the lack of information on groundwater governance (GWG) and management. The objective of the project was briefly described in the project document as follows: “to influence political decision-making by achieving a significantly increased level of awareness of the paramount importance of s ustainable groundwater resource management in averting the impending water crisis”.
