dc.descriptionAn enterprise budget for sugarcane production in south Florida during the 1978-79 season was developed from data provided by local producers. An efficient 640-acre farm was assumed. Results show a cost per net ton of sugarcane of $18.12, and of $16.64 per net standard ton. Costs per gross, net and harvested acre were $466, $518 and $690, respectively. Net returns to management and risk were $37 per acre.
