On the road of COP26, complementing the Glasgow Food and Climate declaration as well as some key exchanges during the UNFSS pre-summit, FAO proposed a side event to discuss what is new in the integrated approach of Forestry, Agriculture and Food at the city level. This approach is at the core of the FAO Green Cities Initiative launched in 2020 by its Director-General. Presentations of a panel discussion aimed at sharing inspiring insights of African cities in line with the Green Cities Initiative and stimulate a discussion on challenges and solutions to promote green and resilient cities. This presentation deals with the main outcomes of the 1st Africa Forum on Urban Forests organized in July 2021 by FAO and UN-Habitat.
